When do classes at BVCA begin and end each day? All elementary classes (K-8th) begin each day at 8:00 AM and are dismissed 3:00 PM. Preschool classes also begin at 8 AM. The length of the day is determined by your program choice. Back to top
	What is the class size? Class sizes for grades K-5 are limited to 22-24. students. Class size for grades 6-8 is 25. Preschool classes maintain a ratio of 1 teacher per 12 students. Back to top
	I work! Is there extended care? Extended care for Bella Vista students is available from 6:00 Am until 6:00 PM. There is an additional fee for this service. We also offer a full day "Summer Extended Care" program. Back to top
	Are Bella Vista Students required to wear uniforms? We utilize a "uniform dress code" that our students are expected to follow. Please contact the school office for further information. Back to top
	How are student learning difficulties dealt with? Our small class sizes and highly skilled teachers allow us to provide for the diverse needs of some students. 	Will my child take any "standardized testing"? All students in first grade and above take a yearly standardized test. We use the Iowa Test of Basic Skills. Typically, 95% of our students score in the average to above average range. Back to top
	When is the first day of school? We utilize a "modified traditional year" calendar. The first day of school is typically the first Monday in August and the last day of school normally is at the end of May. There is a 2 week intersession at the end of each quarter. Back to top
