 Beyond the Core Curriculum

Foreign Language

Our middle school students utilize our computer lab to begin learning Spanish.  Through individual interaction with a computer program (The Rosetta Stone) our students will begin their study of Spanish in the sixth grade and continue through eighth.

Music Program overview:

Music education is also a high priority at BVCA. We'll brag just a little and comment that for our last two Christmas programs, the K-8 children have accompanied themselves on a variety of instruments from drums for the youngest to recorders, ukuleles, and Orffs, as well as our own student band. All-school spring musicals are a yearly highlight as well.

Not only has research shown that learning music facilitates other areas of the curriculum, but our students will leave Bella Vista with a wonderful appreciation of that creative endeavor we know as music!  Stop by and explore our music program.  We'd be happy to share our music room with you!

Our Computer Curriculum

We contract with Computer Explorers to provide a quality and sequential computer program. All students in grades Kindergarten through eight not only learn to use a keyboard, but also to utilize it as a tool to enhance their education in our up-to-date computer lab.  Our middle school students are also given an opportunity to work with 'robotic's' utilizing our computer lab.
